Tom Hall,
Chairman of Tucker/Hall, Inc.
Tampa, Fla. (April
27, 2005) - The University of South Florida chapter of
Kappa Tau Alpha will honor Thomas Hall, chairman of
Tucker/Hall, Inc., with its 2005 Hall of Fame Award.
Hall will accept this honor at the society’s annual
awards dinner on Friday, April 29.
Kappa Tau Alpha is a college honor
society that recognizes academic achievement in journalism
and mass communications.
The Hall of Fame Award is presented to a Floridian
who has contributed to and advanced mass communications in
the state.
Tom Hall is chairman of Tucker/Hall, Inc.,
the Tampa Bay area’s
leading public relations firm, founder of ADWEEK magazine’s
creative Florida educational programs,
founder of the Partnership for a Drug-Free Florida and chairman
of the Florida Aquarium Foundation.
Past recipients of this award include
LeRoy Collins, former governor; Mario Garcia, international
newspaper designer and Lawton Chiles, former Florida
governor, who helped start Hall’s career.
Tom Hall
was Lawton Chiles’ first aide and served as his campaign
manager while
Chiles ran for the state senate in Florida.

in 1990 and has since become one of
Florida’s leading public relations and communications consulting
firms. The firm specializes in public affairs, public
relations and strategic communications.
